This was a really fun project that turned out beautiful, the homeowners were exceptional to work with and we are most honored to have been a part of this project.

Angie's List (December, 2012)

Magazine of the popular membership service that compiles consumer ratings of local service companies and contractors.

Angie's List Member Ed P. comments on the "absolutely outstanding job" that Through the Woods performed on his floors.

In Ed's home we installed Hickory flooring. We repaired a medallion that another company had poorly installed in the dining room and reconstucted a rickety, dangerous stair rail and made it sturdy and safe for Ed and his family. We refinished the rest of the Hickory floors that ran through most of the home.


American Bungalow, (Issue Number 28, Winter 2001)

American Bungalow Magazine is published in the interest of preserving and restoring the modest American 20th century home, the BUNGALOW, and the rich lifestyle that it affords.

A Work of Art by Michelle Gringeri-Brown: Two artists renovate their home and fill it with an eclectic Arts and Crafts collection.

We restored the beautiful floors throughout this famous historic landmark home, built in 1911.


Architectural Digest (April 1996)

Architectural Digest is the international design authority, featuring the work of top architects and designers, as well as the best in style, culture, travel, and shopping.

Sharon Stone's Screening Room, Casino's Star Pays Homage to the 1930's. Ralph Lauren Creative Services concocted a 1930s fantasy screening room for Sharon Stone.

To compliment the cool colors chosen by Ralph Lauren to flatter Stone's blonde beauty, we dyed this floor a deep, rich black.


Better Homes and Gardens (September 2002)

Better Homes and Gardens, ideas and improvement projects for your home and garden plus recipes and entertaining ideas.

The best of both worlds: he grew up in Fiji, loving palm trees and ocean breezes. She was raised in Germany, embraced by deep forests and family tradition. But at home, their two worlds beautifully collide.

In this eclectic home, we installed exotic, highly figured Chichipati throughout the home and on the stairs.

Cottages & Bungalows celebrates the vintage home - from timeless architecture to Arts & Crafts style to retro chic decor - and the lifestyle that respects fine craftsmanship, DIY ingenuity and leaving a lighter footprint on the planet.

Two filmmakers bring a Craftsman back into focus by Laura Meyers: "Restoring the house and collecting authentic antique furnishings became our passion, our hobby-it changed our lives."

We refinished the floors in the featured spacious Craftsman bungalow as part of an extensive, meticulous restoration.

Our 1910 Craftsman is pictured in this book. We lovingly restored the Oak and Douglas Fir floors in this landmark home.

A Seminole Heights homeowner dedicated to green principles restores his 1918 home to its original glory.

Interior designer Eric Krause restored one of the most beautiful historic homes in Tampa. It had been badly neglected after years of "remuddling." We repaired and refinished the floors throughout. The public areas were Oak and the private beautiful Heart Pine.

Reclaimed materials lend new residence Old World Charm. We installed 200 year old French White Oak, adding hand cut pegs to complete its Old World character. The cover photo shows the Walnut flooring that Chris designed for the master suite. We had the wood custom made into a distressed herringbone pattern which we installed, stained and finished with a paste wax.
