Inspired by the 19th century Arts & Crafts movement, Navarre marries the craftsmanship of Old World artisans and 21st century manufacturing technologies to create heirloom quality Oak hardwood flooring. The distinctive character of each Navarre plank is achieved using a variety of antiquing and aging techniques and finished with natural oils to preserve the original beauty of the wood.
Navarre's natural oil finish provides a warmth and refinement to the floor. The natural oils in Navarre floors are absorbed by the grain and become part of the floor. The rich patina of each Navarre wood floor is only enhanced with age and use-the more it is walked on, the more beautiful it becomes.
An oil finish penetrates the wood fibers to harden them while not altering the natural beauty of the wood. With no visual film on the surface, oiled hardwood floors are distinguishable by their elegant patina. They are easy to care for and are repairable. An oiled floor never needs to be sanded, only regular applications of a Maintenance Oil are necessary to nourish the wood and bring return it to its original luster.
Navarre floors feature a distinctive and sophisticated range of distressed, smoked, and antiqued floors finished with either natural or pigmented oils. A solid Oak hardwood top layer rests on a multi-layered, dimensionally stable core giving each Navarre floor the strength to withstand decades of use. This stability is very important in the humid climate we have in Tampa Bay.
